Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service NAQS just opened recruitment for 2026, and this one is straight from an official government job listing, not one of those recycled “apply now” posts that have been floating around online for years. If you’re looking for a federal job, here’s what you need before the window shuts.

You apply online, through the official NAQS recruitment portal at recruitment.naqs.gov.ng. Sign up, fill in your details, upload your documents, and submit before the deadline. Application is completely free. If anybody asks you to pay before you can apply or get shortlisted, that’s not NAQS, ignore them.

Positions Available for this recruitment
The nigeria agricultural quarantine service NAQS is recruiting across three cadres.
Superintendent Cadre
- Chief Superintendent of Quarantine (CSQ), for veterinary doctors with a DVM degree
- Deputy Superintendent of Quarantine (DSQ), for law graduates or master’s degree holders in other fields
- Assistant Superintendent of Quarantine II (ASQ-II), any first degree
Inspectorate Cadre
- Inspector of Quarantine (IQ I to III), open to OND or NCE holders
Assistant Cadre
- Quarantine Assistant (QA I to III), open to SSCE, NECO, or GCE holders with at least five credits including English and Maths, in not more than two sittings
Requirements Needed to Qualify
On top of the academic requirement for whichever cadre you’re going for, NAQS also expects applicants to:
- Be Nigerian by birth
- Have a valid NIN
- Be medically fit and ready to pass a drug test
- Have no criminal record and no cult affiliation
- Be computer literate
There’s also a physical requirement: height not less than 1.55m for women and 1.65m for men, with a minimum chest measurement of 0.87m for men. A full medical screening is part of the process too, so go in prepared.
