WIMBIZ has opened applications for its 2026 Impact Investment grant, a ₦6 million pool for female entrepreneurs. Deadline: Friday, October 23, 2026.
The money comes from Nigerian Bottling Company, Unilever and Coca-Cola. There is also a chance to get a solar system from All On. One condition though: you must be registered for the WIMBIZ Annual Conference before you can apply.
About this WIMBIZ Impact Investment Grant 2026
WIMBIZ stands for Women in Management, Business and Public Service. It’s a non-profit in Lagos that has been helping women grow in their careers and businesses for 25 years. Every November it holds a big conference. The Impact Investment grant is part of it. This year’s is the 25th.
The grant is for women who run businesses. Food and beverage, sustainability and innovation businesses are named on the flyer, and other business categories are covered too.
How much money is in the WIMBIZ Impact Investment Grant 2026
The total is ₦6 million. That is the whole pool, not what one woman collects. The flyer doesn’t say how many women will be picked or how the money will be shared.
To get an idea of how it can go, look at 2023. At that year’s WIMBIZ conference, the Nigerian Bottling Company gave out ₦3 million. Two women shared it: one got ₦1 million, the other ₦2 million. So don’t plan your business budget around the full ₦6 million landing in your account.
Who is eligible to apply for the WIMBIZ Impact Investment Grant 2026
The flyer says this about who can apply:
- You must be a female entrepreneur.
- Be registered to attend the 2026 WIMBIZ Annual Conference. No conference registration, no application.
- Food and beverage, sustainability and innovation businesses are named on the flyer. Other categories are covered too.
The flyer doesn’t mention an age limit, how long your business should have been running, or whether someone with a virtual-only conference seat can apply. Older editions of this competition had limits on age (21 to 30) and on business age (12 to 18 months). The 2026 flyer doesn’t repeat them. Still, read the form well before you start. If you’re not sure, call WIMBIZ on 0806 614 8885 or 0803 494 6249, or email conference@wimbiz.org.
Register for the WIMBIZ 2026 Annual Conference before you apply for the grant
You pay to register for the conference, and being picked for the grant is not guaranteed. Register only if you can attend.
The conference holds on Thursday, November 5 and Friday, November 6, 2026, at Eko Hotels & Suites in Lagos. You can attend physically or online. The theme is “Rooted, Rising, Ready: Born in Africa, Built for the World.”
There are three delegate types:
- Signature Delegate: a physical seat with full access to all the sessions, the networking breaks and the conference app, plus a conference bag and a certificate of attendance.
- Delegate Plus is also physical and meant for senior leaders. You get everything in Signature, plus a reserved seat and a private executive lounge.
- Virtual only? That’s Connect Delegate. You watch the main sessions live and join the chat and Q&A.
Prices are on the registration page. If you want the virtual seat, ask WIMBIZ first whether you can still apply for the grant.
Look at the refund rules before you pay. Between October 8 and October 22, you get 50% back, after they take out the virtual access fee and an admin charge. From October 23, which is also the last day to register, there is no refund. Virtual-only registrations are never refunded.
