A flyer is going round saying the Nigeria Family Strengthening and Development Programme (NFSP) is open for vulnerable Nigerians, with up to ₦100,000 per month. The programme is real. The ₦100,000 payment and the sign-up website have no government confirmation yet. As at October 10, 2026, we found no announcement for either one.
So hold off on registering.

About the Nigeria Family Strengthening and Development Programme (NFSP) itself
The NFSP is a programme of the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs. The Minister, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, announced it on the International Day of Families in May 2025. She said it is meant to fight poverty, domestic violence and weak support for families. At the International Family Forum in Turkey, she called it a community-driven programme.
In those statements, we found no online sign-up and no monthly cash for individuals.
President Tinubu also named 2026 the Year of Families and Social Development, in February. Expect plenty of family and welfare news this year, and some fake ones too.
Why you should not register on the NFSP website yet
- Look at the footer of the sign-up page. It says “The Nigeria Family Support Programme,” while the flyer says “Strengthening and Development.” Two different names.
- Its address is nfsp.ng. Real government offices use .gov.ng, like nassp.gov.ng.
- It asks for your name, email and a password, and the Terms and Conditions link just takes you back to the home page.
- In 2025, a fake NAPEP website promised the same ₦100,000 monthly. It was reported as a scam.
- The call we saw has no deadline and no ministry phone number or email.
Do not pay any fee, and do not give your BVN, NIN or an OTP to any website that says it is the NFSP.
How the real Federal Government cash transfer for vulnerable Nigerians works
You don’t get it by signing up on a random website. In 2025 it paid ₦75,000 in three parts of ₦25,000. People are picked from the National Social Register, and agents check their BVN and NIN before any money is paid.
NASSCO, the office in charge, says it does not charge for registration and does not give cash through unofficial platforms. Its site is nassp.gov.ng and its toll-free line is 969. Check the site for the current amount, because it may have changed.
What to do if you already signed up on the NFSP website
- Stop and send nothing more.
- Used the same password for your email, bank app or Facebook? Change it today.
- Don’t forward the link to your WhatsApp groups.
- Report it to the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development through its official channels.

The Ministry says the first phase, from 2018 to 2024, reached over 460,000 women in six states. Ask your state Ministry of Women Affairs how to join in your state.
