Bosun Tijani Foundation’s Gen AI Fellowship Cohort 2 is a six-month, in-person AI training program in Abeokuta and Kano, paying ₦50,000 monthly. Choose between AI Engineering and AI Application Development. Apply at bosuntijanifoundation.org before July 31, 2026.
The Bosun Tijani Foundation has opened applications for Cohort 2 of its Gen AI Fellowship, a six-month program built to train young Nigerians in artificial intelligence. It’s already getting a lot of attention because of the ₦50,000 monthly stipend attached to it, but the program itself is worth understanding properly before you apply.
What the fellowship is
This is the second cohort of the fellowship. Cohort 1 ran in 2025 in partnership with the Ogun State Government and trained over 80 fellows. Cohort 2 is now open, and it runs for six months, combining hands-on training, mentorship, and real projects.
Selected participants receive ₦50,000 every month for the full six months, along with mentorship from people already working in AI and access to learning tools and resources for the duration of the program.
You apply for one of two tracks.
AI Engineering is for the technical side of things: machine learning, fine-tuning AI models, MLOps, cloud deployment with tools like Docker, and building agent-based systems.
AI Application Development is more about building AI-powered apps: Next.js, React, connecting apps to AI models like OpenAI or Claude, and designing the product itself.
Pick the one that matches what you already know or what you want to move into. If you’re more comfortable with code and technical systems, go for Engineering. If you’re more into building apps and interfaces, go for Application Development.
Where and when
Training happens in person, at ICT Park Abeokuta in Ogun State and ICT Park Kano. It’s not an online program, so make sure you can attend physically at one of these two locations before you apply.
Applications opened July 20, 2026, and close July 31, 2026. Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed between August 3 and 15, 2026. Training starts September 1, 2026.
How to apply
Go to the Bosun Tijani Foundation’s website, bosuntijanifoundation.org, and find the Gen AI Fellowship Cohort 2 application page. Choose your track, fill in your details, and submit before the deadline. If you’ve built anything before, even something small, mention it in your application.
Applications close July 31, 2026, so don’t wait too long to apply.
