The SOHCAHTOA Foundation has opened its 2026 Undergraduate Scholarship for Nigerian students. Successful applicants get ₦250,000 every year, and it keeps renewing until you graduate, as long as you hold up your side.
SOHCAHTOA Foundation is a Nigerian non-profit that supports students and children who don’t have enough money for school. Aside from this undergraduate scholarship, they also run a back-to-school programme, handing out books, bags, and other supplies to pupils in public schools. This particular one, though, is for students already in university, polytechnic, or college of education.
Who is eligible to apply for the SOHCAHTOA Foundation Scholarship 2026
- You must be Nigerian and studying at a public tertiary institution, meaning a university, polytechnic, or college of education. Private schools don’t qualify.
- You need to be in your second year or higher. Still in year one? This one isn’t for you yet, wait till next session.
- Your CGPA has to be 3.5 on a 5-point scale, or whatever that works out to on your school’s grading system.
- At least five O’level credit passes in one sitting, English and Mathematics included.
- You must not already be collecting another scholarship, bursary, or grant from anywhere else. If you’re getting help from somewhere else already, this one isn’t for you.

- Engineering
- Humanities
- Law
- Mathematics
- Medicine
- Sciences
- Technology
If your course falls under any of these, you’re good, as long as you also meet the CGPA and O’level conditions above.

You get ₦250,000 every year toward your studies. As long as your grades stay up and you keep meeting the other conditions, it renews yearly all the way to graduation. That’s the whole package, just the yearly cash, paid out for as long as you stay eligible.

- O’level result
- School ID card or admission letter
- Last semester’s result
- Passport photograph
Every file has to be JPEG or PDF, and none of them should pass 500KB. Anything bigger and the portal probably won’t accept it.

Visit: https://sohcahtoafoundation.org/ and create account, proceed to verify your newly created account. After that you can now fill the scholarship form provided in your profile dashboard.
Fill in your details correctly, then upload the documents from above in the right format and size.
A few other things worth knowing before you submit:
- Some applicants get asked to sit an aptitude test as part of the screening. Not everyone gets called for it, so don’t panic if nobody mentions a test to you.
- If you’re shortlisted, you may need to bring a letter of consent from your parent or guardian.
- Only shortlisted candidates get contacted. No news after submitting usually means you weren’t picked this round.
- Whatever you submit falls under the foundation’s own Scholarship Award Terms and Conditions, so go through anything they send you carefully.
