If FUBK was your first choice in this year’s UTME, stop whatever you’re doing and read this one well. The Federal University Birnin Kebbi has opened its Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening for the 2026/2027 session, and the portal is live right now.
The window isn’t long sha. Registration started on Monday, July 13, and it closes Friday, August 7, 2026. That’s about a week and a half left as of today, so don’t be the person still typing “how to apply for FUBK” the night before deadline.
Who Can Apply
Not everyone who wrote UTME this year qualifies for this particular screening. You need to meet these:
You chose FUBK as your first choice institution during your 2026 UTME registration. If FUBK was your second or third choice, this screening isn’t for you, no matter how much you love the school.
Your UTME score should be 150 or above. This is the national minimum JAMB approved for university admission this year, and FUBK is going by it. But note, scoring 150 only makes you eligible to apply, it doesn’t mean automatic admission, especially if your course has a higher departmental cut-off (more on that below).
Direct Entry candidates need at least a Lower Credit in ND from a recognised institution, or 7 points in NCE/IJMB, to qualify.
How to Apply for FUBK Post-UTME 2026/2027
This whole process is online. You don’t need to enter any bus to Birnin Kebbi before you can register, so relax.
- Go to the FUBK eForms portal at https://eforms.fubk.edu.ng.
- First time on the portal? Click “Create Account,” fill in your details, and activate it. Already registered before? Just log in with your email and password.
- Select the PUTME form from the menu and place your order.
- Enter your JAMB registration number so the system can pull your details. If anything looks wrong, don’t just manage it, email admissions@fubk.edu.ng and get it corrected before you continue.
- Generate your invoice and pay the N2,000 screening fee (bank charges are on you, not FUBK). Any payment channel on the portal works.
- Verify your NIN. The portal will guide you through this, but have your NIN ready before you start so you’re not searching for it halfway.
- Fill in your O’Level details, and A’Level details too if you’re applying through Direct Entry.
- Go through everything one more time, then submit.
Print or save your confirmation slip once you’re done. You’ll likely need it later, and network wahala has a way of showing up exactly when you’re trying to access something urgent.

If your score is below your course’s cut-off, you have two real options: switch to a course you actually qualify for on the portal, or hope for a miracle. I’d go with the first one.
A Quick Word for Architecture and Environmental Sciences Applicants
I studied Architecture myself, and I always tell people this: courses like Architecture, Building Technology, and Quantity Surveying carry a higher cut-off (190/180) for a reason. They’re heavy on studio work, technical drawing, and design projects from year one. It’s not a course you drift into because Medicine’s cut-off scared you off. If design, sketching, and long hours on projects genuinely interest you, it’s a solid path. If it doesn’t, be honest with yourself now rather than after two years of studio nights.
Don’t Make These Mistakes
A few things trip up candidates every screening season. Watch out for them:
Waiting till the last two days to register. FUBK’s portal, like most Nigerian university portals, tends to slow down once everybody rushes it close to deadline. Beat the crowd.
Paying before confirming your course cut-off. Some candidates pay the N2,000 first, then realise their score doesn’t match their course. Check the table above before you generate any invoice.
Entering your JAMB number wrong. One typo and your details won’t pull correctly. Take your time on that step.
Rushing or skipping the NIN verification step. It’s now compulsory across almost every Nigerian institution’s screening, and getting it wrong can hold up your whole application.
