The official FRSC recruitment portal is https://recruitment.frsc.gov.ng. The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) uses it for applications into its Officer, Marshal Inspectorate and Road Marshal Assistant cadres, plus artisan, driver and rider jobs.
Latest status (updated October 15, 2026): The FRSC takes applications only when it announces a recruitment round. The last round opened on July 3, 2026 and ran for four weeks. No new round has been announced yet.
About the FRSC recruitment portal
FRSC recruitment goes through one website. You apply online, and the FRSC says the whole process is free. No payment is required at any stage, so never pay anyone who promises you a place.

Cadres you can apply for in the FRSC recruitment
The FRSC splits its jobs into cadres, and your qualification decides which one you can go for. This is how the last round was set up:

Artisans and technicians were mechanics, electricians, plumbers, computer operators, tailors, motorcycle riders and drivers. They needed the right trade qualification and a valid driver’s licence of the correct class where it applies. Drivers of articulated trucks and tow trucks had to be 26 to 40 years old.
Officer applicants who need an NYSC certificate must show a discharge or exemption certificate.
Requirements for the FRSC recruitment (all cadres)
These apply to everybody, whatever cadre you choose:
- You must be a Nigerian by birth.
- Medically fit, and computer literate too.
- Single at the time you apply.
- Height of at least 1.65m for men and 1.58m for women.
- Good character, no criminal conviction, and no outstanding loans or debts.
- No tattoo on any part of the body.
- Pregnant women were advised not to apply.
- Declare all your qualifications and professional licences. Any you leave out won’t be recognised for promotion later.
Married applicants and applicants with tattoos are not eligible. Don’t waste your time on the form if either one is you.
The FRSC can change these from one round to the next, so read the new notice before you apply.
What to keep ready for the FRSC recruitment application
Get these sorted before the portal opens, not after:
- Your qualification for the cadre you want (SSCE, ND or NCE, degree or HND), plus any professional licence the role needs.
- A medical fitness certificate from a government-approved hospital.
- A personal email address and a phone number you check every day.
- Valid driver’s licence of the right class, for drivers and riders.
- Trade qualifications, for artisans.
- A printed copy of your completed application form. Shortlisted candidates must bring it to screening.
Steps to apply on the FRSC recruitment portal
When a round is open, this is how it works:
- Open recruitment.frsc.gov.ng. Type it in yourself, and don’t tap a link from a stranger on WhatsApp.
- Check which cadre fits your qualification and age before you do anything else.
- Register with your own email address and phone number, not an agent’s.
- Fill in the form and submit it before the window closes. Last time, the window was four weeks.
- Print your completed form and keep it safe for screening.
What happens after you apply for the FRSC recruitment
Not everybody who applies gets called. The FRSC calls shortlisted candidates for screening, and they must show up with the printed application form. That’s why the notice insists on a personal email and phone number.
Shortlist and screening dates come from the FRSC itself. Confirm any date on the portal or on the FRSC’s official channels before you spend money on transport.
How the last FRSC recruitment round started
The notice came first, and the portal followed a few days later.

That gave people only two days of warning. If you wait for the portal to open before you start collecting documents, you’ll be rushing.
How to know when the next FRSC recruitment opens
The FRSC says it announces vacancies through national newspapers, television stations and its official channels. Last time it was a signed notice from the Corps, and it went public before the portal opened.
Watch the portal itself and the FRSC’s official pages. If the news reaches you only through a WhatsApp forward, check it first.
How to avoid fake FRSC recruitment notices
In August 2025, the FRSC warned the public about fraudsters, some of them posing as Corps staff, who take money from job seekers with false promises of employment. Some of them sent fake call-up letters to training schools and the FRSC Academy.
The FRSC says it has never told any of its staff to collect money or any gift from applicants. So:
- Pay nobody, for any reason.
- Ignore any call-up letter that didn’t come from the portal or the FRSC’s official channels.
- If someone asks you for money, report it at the nearest FRSC command or to the police.

No. Applicants must be single at the time of application.
