NAQS says its recruitment portal is not down, it is just handling a huge number of applicants at once, over 15,000 in a few days, more than 3,000 in the first two hours alone. Keep trying at off-peak hours, apply before August 10, 2026, and have your documents ready before you start.
If you have been trying to apply for the NAQS recruitment and the page keeps refusing to load, you are not the only one. A lot of people have been complaining online that the portal is down. NAQS says that is not true.
In a statement signed by Acting Issaka Ahmed, Director of Human Resources, for the Board Chairman, dated August 1, 2026, NAQS said the application process is still on and applicants should keep using recruitment.naqs.gov.ng.
The service admitted that some people are having trouble getting in. But they say it is not because the site is down. It is because too many people are trying to log in at the same time.
According to NAQS, they received over fifteen thousand applications in just the last few days after the advert came out. More than three thousand people applied within two hours of the portal going live. That kind of traffic will slow down almost any website, sha.
NAQS is advising applicants to keep trying at different times of the day, especially during off-peak hours, and to use a good and stable network. Early morning or late night usually has less traffic than daytime, so that’s a good time to try your luck.
The service also asked the public to ignore any claim that the portal is permanently down, calling it misleading, and said the “temporary hiccups” some people are seeing are just part of handling this much traffic.
