About the Fintiri Business Wallet scheme and PAWECA
The Fintiri Business Wallet is a grant the Adamawa State Government gives to small business people so they can add to their capital. It is not a loan. PAWECA is the state agency that runs it. The state set up PAWECA in 2020. The wallet scheme itself started in 2023.
The first two rounds were for women traders, about 20,000 of them. Later rounds opened up to men too and the numbers grew. PAWECA’s Director-General has said more than 200,000 people have now received ₦50,000 each.

Who the Fintiri Business Wallet is for
PAWECA has said the wallet should reach real business operators, people who are actively trading and need money to grow what they do. It also said the forms should not be handed out because of favour or family links.
Going by what PAWECA described for the earlier round, these are the people it targets:
- Petty traders and small shop owners.
- Artisans, mostly tailors and mechanics.
- Food sellers.
- Any other low-income person in Adamawa who runs a small business and sells something almost every day.
What the last Fintiri Business Wallet round asked for
The new round has no rules yet. The last one gives you an idea of what PAWECA checks, so read this as a guide and not as the final word.
- Forms went out across the 21 local government areas through selected stakeholders and community leaders. After that, you went to a capture centre to have your data captured.
- The form asked for your NIN, your BVN, your bank details and your business details.
- The name on your bank account had to match the name on the form.
- Opay, PalmPay and Moniepoint accounts were not accepted.
- No cancelling or correcting a form. You submitted the original and kept a photocopy for yourself.
- People who had filled the form before were told not to reapply.
- From June 1, 2026, PAWECA allowed capture at any centre in the state, even if your form named a different local government area. Bring a valid means of identification.
Rules changed from one round to another, so don’t assume. Another round, for about 72,000 traders, was open to both new applicants and people who had been paid in earlier phases, according to the PAWECA Director-General. Just because you collected before doesn’t mean you’re out this time. Wait for the new notice.
How to get ready for the Fintiri Business Wallet before PAWECA announces
Nothing here is a requirement for the new round yet. But it costs you nothing to have these ready.
- Your NIN and BVN, since the old form asked for both.
- A bank account in your own name. If the last rule still stands, that means no Opay, PalmPay or Moniepoint, so check again when PAWECA speaks.
- A valid ID, because capture centres asked for one.
- Be clear about your business. The form had business details on it, so know what you sell or make, and where.
If your business is farming, the Bank of Agriculture is taking applications for its 2026/2027 dry season farming fund, though that one is for FACs and offtakers, so read who qualifies before you try. And if you want more than ₦50,000 can do for your shop, SMEDAN just opened its 2026 exhibition application for MSMEs to show their products.
How to apply for the new Fintiri Business Wallet round
There is no application link, no form and no opening date right now. The only thing to do is wait for an announcement from PAWECA or the Adamawa State Government.
When it comes, ask in your own local government area. Last time the forms moved through local stakeholders, not an open website.
Don’t give your NIN, BVN or bank details to anybody online who says they have the application link. Nothing official has been announced yet.
Payment and alert problems people had in earlier Fintiri Business Wallet rounds
PAWECA said its records showed 94 per cent of payments went through, even though some recipients said no alert came. If you were captured and you have no alert, check with your bank first and then with PAWECA.
Delays are also not new. In 2025, PAWECA had to promise that all outstanding payments would be finished by August 25. Bank checks have slowed other government schemes too, like YEIDEP, where Keystone Bank is asking applicants to visit for ID verification.
