YEIDEP update 2026: Keystone Bank asks Yeidep applicants to visit for ID verification

Keystone Bank is sending some YEIDEP applicants an SMS telling them to visit any Keystone branch with a valid ID to regularize their YEIDEP account and complete the required documentation. I could not find an official statement from YEIDEP or Keystone Bank on this SMS yet, so this post is based on the message itself.

The Keystone Bank SMS for YEIDEP applicants, word for word

Screenshots from applicants show the message coming from KEYSTONE. It reads:

YEIDEP update 2026: Keystone Bank asks Yeidep applicants to visit for ID verification
YEIDEP update 2026: Keystone Bank asks Yeidep applicants to visit for ID verification

YEIDEP Account: Dear Customer, please visit any Keystone Bank branch with a valid ID to regularize your account and complete the required documentation.

About YEIDEP and Keystone Bank as a YEIDEP partner bank

YEIDEP is the Federal Government programme that gives young Nigerians startup grants of ₦50,000 to ₦500,000, plus training. The Federal Ministry of Youth Development runs it. The long name is Youth Economic Intervention and De-Radicalisation Programme, but everybody just says YEIDEP.

Keystone is one of the banks the government approved for opening YEIDEP accounts. The others include Fidelity, Wema, Union Bank, GTBank, Zenith, Access, UBA, Ecobank, Lotus and Alpha Morgan.

For Batch B, the bank account is the registration. Since March 9, 2026, you have to go to a partner bank in person and open a YEIDEP account, and YEIDEP says that is the only valid way to become a recognised participant. It calls you a potential beneficiary after that, which is not the same as being confirmed for payment.

What the Keystone Bank SMS for YEIDEP applicants means

The sms simply says three things. Go to any Keystone branch, Carry a valid ID. Verify your account and finish the documentation.

“Regularize” here most likely means something is missing or incomplete on your account file, such as documents or details.

This is not new for YEIDEP. In the 2025 process, applicants whose accounts were created from their registration data were told to go to the bank and finish registration by uploading documents such as a passport photo, BVN and NIN. Keystone was also already texting YEIDEP applicants back then.

So if you received this message, kindly go and update your keystone yeidep account.

Other grants you can apply for while you wait for YEIDEP

Opening the account only makes you a potential beneficiary, so keep other options open too.

The Prince Casper Foundation Impact Grants 2026/2027 go up to ₦500,000, but they are for educators. If you run a small business, SMEDAN has opened applications for its 2026 exhibition for MSMEs that want to show their products. The Bank of Agriculture is also taking applications for its 2026/2027 dry season farming fund, though that one is for FACs and offtakers, so read the requirements first.
